Exactly one year ago today, July 22, we were in the midst of a lot of boxes, waiting on the moving truck, and doing a whole lot of cleaning to get the house ready for check-out inspection. As we tweeted a lot during this time, we are going to re-post our original tweets here–as well as our thoughts now as we look back–we feel its a great way to capture this period in time from a year ago and share them with y’all. Grab a glass of Southern sweet iced tea and enjoy!
The moving truck arrived approximately just before 9:00 AM. It was a little bit of a challenge for the drivers to come down our street, as the city of Fond du Lac had illegally parked a dump truck right where the truck needed to go,, and there was not enough room for the truck to enter. After several minutes, the city moved the truck and the Mayflower truck was able to park in front of our house.
10:06 AM Moving Day!

It’s hard to believe that it has been an entire year since we first left Wisconsin–we almost wish that we had tweeted out more to document our journey. Check back every day through July 25, as we will be posting entries every day, and look for a special blog post (or two) on July 25 celebrating our one year anniversary of arriving in Florida.
